Our approach to the collection of accounts is based on the concept of “PHD,” Preserve Human Dignity. The same exceptional customer service we provide our clients extends to the debtor. Each collection representative is thoroughly trained to treat every debtor like a human being, not an account number. They take debtors’ financial situations into consideration case-by-case and work with them to provide payment options. Collectors make arrangements that fit a debtor’s budget, while remaining assertive and motivated to satisfy the debt as quickly and completely as possible. PHD doesn’t just increase a debtor’s ability and willingness to pay; it ensures more accounts paid in full and more money recovered for our clients.

Not only does ARG’s customer service-based philosophy preserve human dignity, it preserves the law. All collection efforts made on an account are in strict compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). All of our collection representatives receive comprehensive training in the FDCPA. Additionally, they sign a contractually binding statement of compliance, agreeing to uphold the regulations set in the FDCPA. Our highly trained supervisors routinely monitor collectors’ performance; guaranteeing legal boundaries are never overstepped.

Expertly-Trained Professionals

Asset Recovery Group has a corporate imperative requiring continual training for all our staff members. We are committed to providing our staff opportunities for success and a firm understanding of current collection practices and regulations. Initial training includes extensive Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) instruction, culminating in testing that requires a score of 100 percent to pass. Every employee must sign a statement acknowledging they have been trained on the FDCPA and understand that non-compliance with that law can result in immediate termination.

We employ a full-time training specialist who has over 20 years collection industry experience. The primary responsibility of the trainer is to coach our staff on ethics, specialized telephone techniques, customer service skills, interacting with difficult people, as well as current changes in our industry.

We have an extensive library of educational books, videos, and audiotapes available for all staff to utilize. The goal of providing access to these materials is to promote personal and career development. Our management team is committed to consistent one-on-one coaching and mentoring to ensure the continued growth and success of all of our staff. We believe in the potential in our people to strengthen their skills, contribute to ARG’s organizational goals, and in the development of his or her own unique talents and abilities in order to achieve maximum performance.

ARG also has safeguards in place to ensure our collectors are consistently compliant with their training. Collection supervisors regularly monitor collectors’ phone calls to debtors and gives instructional feedback both during and after the call. Account transcripts are also spot checked for notation quality and accuracy. These measures ensure account handling adheres to company policies and legal regulations.
